Good vs Great Customer Support

17 July 2007 | Life, Work | Suneth Mendis

I am working as the support engineer at my current job. I had no prior customer support experience and hence I am learning the job along the way.

Quite honestly, customer support is a challenging job. In fact, any job that requires managing and interacting people is challenging. Have a look at The World's First Help Desk!!! You will know what I mean! Thanks Damien for the inspiring video!

If you can solve all the problems you are doing a GOOD job! But if the customer can trust you to do a good job, then you are doing a GREAT job!

So how do you know when you are doing a great job? It's when you get comments like this…

  • Thank you for looking into it for me! You're a legend! ;)
  • You nailed it! Thank you for your help!
