Mac-Zen woes
Yeah you guessed it right! I bought a Creative Zen vision:M few months ago. Last month Ephox gave me a MacBook Pro laptop. Now I have a problem! I can’t sync my Zen with my Mac. Only ray of hope is this software I found called XNJB. It does not sync but you can add/remove stuff from Zen. Hardly an elegant solution… So with this news, I have 2 choices…
- Succumb to the “Apple Monopoly” and buy an iPod
- Or use my wife’s windows system to sync the Zen - Sure pain in the butt to switch computers!
Why oh why is it so hard for Apple and Creative to get their acts together and make consumers lives little easier? ![]()

Drink the kool-aid. The apple flavour is yummy. Go ahead and get an iPod.

Thank you Rob! Apple juice sure tastes yummy! Just that I’m not sure if my wife would let me buy apple juice when I haven’t finished drinking my pineapple!

Mac support is entirely in Creative’s court - you can’t expect Apple to provide drivers for proprietary 3rd party devices. So it’s not Apple’s monopoly you’re embracing - it’s Microsoft’s that your escaping by moving to a device that support multiple OS.

of course there is option 3:
mix the apple and pineapple juice with tomato juice (windows) using VMWare/Parrallels which will give you windows which should work with the creative drivers.
The apple juice is much yummier though…. I’ve managed to keep the tomato juice away from my apples so far :).
